Access
From East Midlands Airport
Turn right out of the airport and follow the A453, turning right at Isley Walton then via Kings Newton or Melbourne. Pick up the brown 'heritage' signs for "Calke Abbey and Park" or signs for "Ticknall". As you enter Ticknall, at the junction with the A514, turn left. Access to Limeyards Stables is on the left immediately after the bus stop. Maps here.
Via the M1
From the south J23a or J24 can be used. From the north use J24. Follow the A453 past East Midlands airport, turning right at Isley Walton then via Kings Newton or Melbourne. Via the M42/A42
Travelling north-east, leave the A42 at the second exit and take the B587 signed for Melbourne. Be sure to take the left turn after Lount. As you approach Melbourne the road turns left in front of the Melbourne Arms. Continue to the top of the hill then turn left for Ticknall. At the junction with the A514 turn left. Access to Limeyards Stables is on the left immediately after the bus stop. Maps here.
Via the A50 or A38
At the (Toyota) intersection of the A50 and A38 take the minor road to the villages of Willington then Repton then Milton on to Ticknall. As you come to Ticknall, turn left at the 'T' junction with the A514 through the village towards Derby. After the filling station on the left there is a telephone box then access to Limeyards Stables is on the right just before the bus stop. Maps here.
By Bus

The nearest Train Station is at Willington (6 miles). There is a mainline station at Derby (9 miles) Let us know if you need picking up.
